Mackage trench coat

Here’s one of the better trench coats that I’ve seen around – the make is pretty impeccable (made in Canada).

Lot’s of nice details on this one, such as leather lining, leather arm vent, nice silky inner shell with intricate embroidering. There’s also more room in the chest & shoulders – this is usually an issue for me as modern trench coats tend to be cut slim with high shoulders – but with this jackets, mobility is not so much an issue.

Of course, as with ‘vintage-inspired’ jackets, the material used aren’t as ‘traditional’ when compared to vintage replicas. The outer shell is a heavy cotton/polyurethane hybrid, giving the garment a nice sheen/glitter while providing superior strength and elemental protection compared with pure cotton fabrics. The inner shell is a polyester/spandex mix, a modern alternative to silk, giving a similar hand to the fabric but with superior wear resistance. A great modern interpretation of the classic trench.
