Lofgren’s chambray shirt

My Lofgren shirt from Speedway arrived yesterday!

Very pleased with this 7oz brown S&P chambray…

The fabric is quite soft and full of character, and the construct is superb.

There are nice tacks of reinforcement at stress points, here and there.

The very interesting breast pockets (esp. on the left chest) and cinch on the collar are quite something too!

I still haven’t figured out what the buttonhole below the second button does (see pic below) – if anybody can shed some light please leave a comment 🙂

I would highly recommend Speedway and their house-brand Lofgren (after the owner, John Lofgren).

Thanks for the great service and the wonderful garment 🙂

Bonus pre-wash fit pic.

Needs a slight shrink, but the fitting is spot on for me.

Although I think, like the Warehouse chambray shirt I got last week, this shirt may be a bit too short for me to tuck in properly after a shrinking.

  1. Fine looking shirt sir! That button hole you’re wondering about is for the t-bar that’s connected to the pocket watch chain. Watch goes into that small opening on the left and the chain is secured by that button hole. How will you know if you’re train is on schedule without a pocket watch?!

  2. Hey Mike..really nice shirt and fits well too! and if you want to know the slanted button hole below the second button is for the pocket watches hook and chain, it then goes into the conductor’s watch pocket hence the shape of the pocket. 🙂

    best,
    five!
