Tree in a Shoe

Just received a little family of trees from the Rochester Shoe Tree Company.

Rochester manufactures shoe trees for many of the brands that we’re familiar with, including Alden, Floresheim, Polo Ralph Lauren, etc, and have been in this business since 1922.

I do like their products; the red cedar trees always pop out of the box smooth and smelling great.

(Yes, that is a huge horsehair shoe brush…)

This particular model I’m very fond of, having rounded edges and a full heel.

The spring mecahnism works great with the split toe, and easily fills out the toe box of my various boots.

I was also impressed by the uniformity of the wood grain on all the shoe trees that were sent to me.

Not as easy to install as the thin-heeled, leather-looped model though, but the construct is more solid and will keep my boots in good company for many years.

A very worthwhile investment.
