The newly fitted deer leather strap on my Rolex Datejust has settled in quite nicely…
The grain has become much darker and more defined.
Very happy with the way it looks right now, so won’t be dyeing the leather anytime soon.
There are signs of abrasion at the various stress points already.
The deer leather is perhaps a little thinner than I would have liked, but so far so good – although, the next watchband would most likely be a one-piece construct (shell cordovan perhaps?)
