I’m going to give my Angelos no. 2 wallet a rest for a while, temporarily going into the shrimp vault.
Check out the past series of updates here!
Some pics from today:
Really quite please with how the colour is developing, a lively tan with darker streaks & indigo stains.
It goes without saying that there’s plenty of life left in the leather, and the grain still has some way to go in terms of developing a fine patina.
Will most likely pull it out again in the next couple of years, but for now I want to test out something different.
My cards have certainly caused a bit of damage to the leather on pockets.
The natural leather shows the wear very well, but next time I’d probably go with a darker, tougher leather for the inner.
Angelos’ construct is very solid, though, and there’s no distortion to the shape of the wallet nor is there breakage of threads.
The edges, too, are still slippery smooth – true testament to Angelos’ mean edge burnish!
The waxed linen threads have left interesting imprints!
After a few good oil applications, the outer natural cattlehide now has quite a nice pull-up effect 🙂
So there you go…I hope my first-hand experiences shed some light on the recent e-beef on SuFu regarding Angelos’ crafts.
A proudly made in Taiwan product – highly recommended!
