Here’s a belt loop key holder that Scott Willis at Don’t Mourn, Organize! had made for me a while back.
The leather is bridle bend from Clayton tannery in the UK, dark brown in colour.
The leather has been knocked around a fair bit, as it often suffers from abrasion when I carelessly sit down and knock it into a chair or table.
It has held up very well, and the grain is beginning to pop through the initially smooth surface.
It still catches light quite well too, having a gentle, natural shine.
It feels very nice against the skin, an essential feature of it’s bridle leather heritage
Scott had these very cool damascus buttons custom-made:
It’s hard to see the evo overall, as the steel is hardy and the leather dark brown and durable.
Though, upon closer inspection, back of the loop which brushes against the denim is developing a shiny patina…
Simple but wonderfully constructed piece, something I don’t leave home without!
